The Geowiz HOS4AG (GPS) is an electronic Hours of Service logbook designed specifically for truck drivers and operators who fall outside of FMCSA requirements for engine connections, making it suitable for vehicles manufactured before 2000. This application caters to users needing a compliant logging solution without the need for an AOBRD or ELD, as offered by its counterpart, Geowiz AG HOS.

This app provides a comprehensive tool for managing FMCSA exemption 49 CFR 395.1(k), particularly for those transporting agricultural commodities. The Geowiz HOS agriculture-specific logbook automatically populates log notes, accurately tracks hours within the exemption, and designates periods as off-duty. It simplifies the reconciliation of exempt driving hours, alleviating potential explanations to inspectors or auditors regarding unassigned driving instances.

Moreover, once drivers exit exempt zones, the system seamlessly initiates the recording of hours of service. If necessary, it transmits only the relevant non-exempt driving data to the FMCSA. The incorporation of route planning features that highlight agricultural exemption areas empowers drivers to chart their courses with clear awareness of where exemptions apply.

Drivers have full autonomy over their logs; they can easily add or remove locations as needed. The system supports multiple pickup or drop-off points, which continuously reflect on logs until deleted. It adheres to all applicable FMCSA regulations and effectively manages complex scenarios such as A, B, C pickups/drop-offs as well as en-route empty returns.
